You should apply it to any situation that requires negotiation of different viewpoints, to conflict resolution, to any task that requires team work and division of labor, etc.
It's all about balance. If you're working in a cross cultural setting, you should be sensible and reasonable enough to not force your value system onto your co-workers (they'll resent you and boicott you for it). I think the best thing to do when you're starting out is to keep your eyes and ears open, and learn the organization's culture to see how you fit into it.

What is communication? It is the transference and understanding of meaning, right? If I don't understand something, or the meaning of what you say, or what I am told, or any form of infomation that I am given or NOT given…then how am I to know what to do (or not do), what decision I make–if any, and what decision will be needed–if any? How will I know if a customer needs something made a certain way, especially when I don't have direct contact with that customer? How will I know that my employees are getting hurt often on a specific piece of machinery? Why is communication important?? The majority of businesses fail PRIMARILY due to lack of or poor communication.

While providing communication training to the employees, educators usually focus more on written and oral methods of communication and pay little attention to the nonverbal methods of communication. Do you think that more training emphasis should be placed on nonverbal communication? Build an argument supporting your view point with justification?

Kids have eyes, and those eyes are often locked on the teacher. If a teacher continually has a look of disgust in their eyes, rolls their eyes at a question from a struggling student, or seems bored with their own lesson, the kids will notice.

My college DID focus on that. We were constantly videotaped and forced to do presentations for that exact reason. Rarely did our professors care what our lesson plans looked like on paper, and I was never asked to tape record a lesson. What mattered was my PRESENTATION.

What does business communication mean?

What is the differences of interpersonal and business communication?

I think of interpersonal communication as more of a one-on-one communciation style. You are communicating to a much smaller audience and in a much more causal manner.
Business communication is usually referred to in writing letters, memos, or authoring documents that follow a certain standard or format. Business communications should be professional, accurate (no grammer mistakes), and formatted correctly…for example, using model block or block style in writing a letter.
In my business communications class we studied different ways of wording things so that they sounded professionally and also so that the reader will be receptive of your communication.
