The winners of the 13th Pearson Business Presentation Challenge ociated with the ADM 2381 “Business Communication Skills” course, during the Fall 2008 semester at the University of Ottawa’s Telfer School of Management. The event took place on November 27, 2008. The winners, announced by the courses’ ex-Head Teaching istant and now entrepreneur Stephen Mitchell, were Jenni Kay McBeath (1st Place) with her presentation on Buying from Locally Owned Businesses, and HC Zhang (Runner-up) with his presentation on Foreign Credential Recognition.

Stephanie Lui finished in the top 6 out of over 200 students in the ADM 2381 “Business Communication Skills” course, during the Summer 2008 semester, at the University of Ottawa. This allowed her to compete in the McGraw Hill Ryerson Business Presentation Challenge on July 31, 2008.

Stephanie’s presentation concerns offering online services for the University of Ottawa’s Telfer School of Management, and is titled “Online Telfer School of Management”.

Jordan Demeo, a Marketing student at the University of Ottawa, finished in the top 6 out of over 200 students in the ADM 2381 “Business Communication Skills” course, during the Summer 2008 semester. This allowed him to compete in the McGraw Hill Ryerson Business Presentation Challenge on July 31, 2008.

Jordan’s presentation concerns bringing the Summer Olympic Games to Ottawa and is titled “Ottawa 2020″.

ADM2381: Business Presentation Challenge – HC Zhang

HC Zhang, a Finance student at the University of Ottawa’s Telfer School of Management, finished in the top 5 out of over 200 students in the ADM 2381 “Business Communication Skills” course, during the Fall 2008 semester. This allowed him to compete in the 13th Pearson Business Presentation Challenge on November 27, 2008.

HC presented the topic of “Foreign Credential Recognition” in front of an audience of over 200 attendees. This presentation earned HC Zhang a second place position as well as a $750 dollar bursary courtesy of Pearson Education Canada.

ADM2381: Business Presentation Challenge – Finalists Intro

These are the finalists who finished in the top 6 out of over 200 students in the ADM 2381 “Business Communication Skills” course, during the Summer 2008 semester, at the University of Ottawa. This allowed them to compete in the McGraw Hill Ryerson Business Presentation Challenge on July 31, 2008. Each finalist is accompanied by his/her inspirational teaching istant.

The winner of this competition was Melissa Rajaram, an Accounting student at the University of Ottawa. The Runner-Up was Luc Lauzon, an International Management student at the University of Ottawa.
